David is the former Assoc. VP, Research Technology & Chief Digital Officer, New York University.

Served on the Apereo Board, 2012-2013

Nate served on the founding board of directors of the new Apereo Foundation, formed by the merger of the Sakai and Jasig Foundations.

At the time of Nate's directorship he was Sakai Product Manager at rSmart.

Dr. Lucy has served the Apereo community in many capacities over the last 13 years, holding the positions of Apereo Foundation Vice-Chair, User Reference Group coordinator for the Apereo OAE project, member of the planning committees for Open Apereo conferences, and Apereo Newsletter Editor.

Development Officer

Josh Baron joined Apereo as the Foundation's Development Officer in 2023. Josh spearheads the fundraising initiatives and sustainability strategy for the Foundation and the communities and projects it serves.

While at Yale University, Susan had a long history with Jasig, the uPortal project, the Apereo Board, and the Incubation Committee.

Francois Campbell

Former Apereo Board Member & Secretary

Francois Campbell is the Infrastructure and Technical Services Manager at OPENCOLLAB. As such, Apereo has played a large role in his life. He has been using and supporting Sakai since Sakai 2.7. His experience has involved institutions of all sizes and shapes. Supporting higher education in Africa generally and South Africa in particular.

Susan served on the Apereo Board from 2014 to 2020 while the Learning Platform Administrator at the University of Notre Dame.

Jim was part of the founding board of directors for the Apereo Foundation serving on the board from 2013 to 2020. Jim is the Manager of Application Development, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine as well as the Chair of the uPoral Community.

Douglas Johnson

Doug served as the Apereo Board secretary while the Associate Director of the Office of Information Technology at the University of Florida.

Former Board Member

David was the Chief Information Officer at Tufts University. He passed away in 2018 after a short battle with cancer.

Clint has worked in the British Columbia post-secondary system for 25 years and is currently an Open Education Project Manager with BCcampus, a non-profit provincial consortium that provides leadership and support to the 25 publicly funded post-secondary institutions in the province of British Columbia.

Charles served as the Apereo Foundation Treasurer from 2013 to 2019 while working as the Senior Director for Online Initiatives and Innovation, at Georgetown University.

Anne-Marie Scott

Former Apereo Board Member & Chair

Anne-Marie is the Director of Anne-Marie Scott Consulting Inc., Chair of the Apereo Foundation, and a Director at the Open Source Initiative. Previously, she was the Deputy Provost at Athabasca University, Canada’s largest open and online university, where she led several transformational change projects.
