Opencast Matterhorn Conference - Manchester, March 25th-27th 2015 

Opencast Matterhorn, currently in the final stages of Apereo incubation, are holding a conference at the University of Manchester between 25th and 27th March 2015. The event offers an opportunity to participate in a mix of technical and non-technical talks and discussions. Content will be appropriate to existing users, and those who are interested in Opencast as a potential solution in lecture capture and media management in higher education.

4th March 2015 - Noon US Eastern - Basics of CAS

CAS is a well-known web SSO system. In this webinar, I'll present the basics of CAS, its architecture and protocol. Then, I'll go through the CAS server, how to set it up, the various configuration options from the authentication handlers to the tickets storage. Finally, I'll discuss the CAS clients and the tools which can be "CASsified."

8th April 2015 - Noon US Eastern - Xerte Online Toolkits
Juian Tenny, Ron Mitchell and Tom Reijnders

Xerte Online Toolkits is a new project to Apereo, currently working through the incubation process. In this webinar, the Xerte developers will introduce themselves, and the software, to the Apereo Community. Julian Tenney will  say a little about where the project came from, and how it came to be an Apereo project; Ron Mitchell will provide an overview and demonstrate the software's key features and Tom Reijnders will show some of the new developments currently taking place.
