SNAPP -- Forum Analysis Tool Integration for Sakai

I am writing to you regarding a new visual analytics tool integration with Sakai called SNAPP (Social Network Analysis & Pedagogical Practices).  SNAPP is a client-side browser-based bookmarklet application tool that allows users to visualize the network of interactions resulting from discussion forum posts and replies. The network visualization of forum interactions provides an opportunity for teachers to rapidly identify patterns of user behavior -- at any stage of course progression. SNAPP was developed to extract all user interactions from various commercial and open source learning management systems (LMS) such as BlackBoard (including the former WebCT) and Moodle. Now Marist College has been able to extend SNAPP tool and provide an integration with Sakai CLE (v2.8x & v2.9x). SNAPP for Sakai is a simple tool to deploy and is compatible for both Mac and PC users and operates currently in Firefox.

Please refer to the SNAPP home page on the Sakai Confluence Wiki for more interesting details about how SNAPP opens a new dimension for forum analysis. The early work about SNAPP for Sakai CLE can be found at the following link:
