UniTime 4.8, Build 170 Release

The UniTime community is pleased to announce the release of UniTime 4.8 (build 170)! 

The latest UniTime release is a minor release update for an existing version (UniTime 4.8) that was initially released in October 2023. Significant changes are as follows:

• Course Timetabling Solver Enhancements: The most noteworth change improves how the solver handles inconsistent input data when it is impossible to assign all classes. For example, if an instructor has constraints that make it impossible to schedule all their classes (e.g., teaching only Monday-Wednesday-Friday for up to four hours daily but having five one-hour classes), the solver now recognizes this scenario and moves to optimize the classes it can place rather than repeatedly trying to create an impossible solution.
• Examination Timetabling: Added support for room partitions, providing greater flexibility in scheduling exam locations.
• Class Assignment Updates: Room partitions are now considered when checking availability for non-class events, and the editing of variable credit values (e.g., Min/Max Units) has been simplified.
