2025 Call for Nominations to the Apereo Board of Directors

Dear Apereo Community,
The Apereo Foundation is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. Six seats are open for election this year: four Organizational Member Representative seats and two Individual Member Representative seat. Each Director will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2025.
Nomination Deadline: Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM EDT (03:59 UTC)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nominees must be at least 18 years of age.
- Directors are not required to be U.S. citizens or residents of New Jersey.
- Employment by a member organization is not mandatory.
- Organizational Member Representatives are nominated and elected by Apereo Member Organizations.
- Individual Member Representatives are nominated and elected by Individual Members in good standing.
- Self-nominations are permitted.
- Directors may serve up to two consecutive terms.

Please send nominations to Patrick Masson, Executive Director, at ed@apereo.org. Include the nominee's name, contact information, and a brief statement of their qualifications and interest in serving on the Board.

Election Timeline:
- April 17, 2025: Nominations open.
- May 9, 2025: Nominations close.
- May 16, 2025: Announcement of nominees.
- May 19, 2025: Voting opens.
- May 31, 2025: Voting closes.
- June 2, 2025: Run-off elections open (if needed).
- June 6, 2025: Run-off elections close (if needed).
- June 10, 2025: Executive Director notifies elected board members and other candidates of the results.
- June 25, 2025: Apereo Board receives, reviews, and can accept election results.
- July 1, 2025: New board members are officially seated.
- July 23, 2025: Annual General Meeting; first Board Meeting for new/re-elected Directors.
