Apereo heads to UN Open Source Software Week 2025 in New York City
Apereo is honored to participate in the 2025 UN Open Source Software (OSS) Week at United Nations Headquarters in New York City—a global gathering of open source leaders working to advance inclusive, collaborative technologies for sustainable development. As a recognized expert in open source for academic institutions, Apereo brings more than 25 years of experience supporting open infrastructure and community-driven innovation in higher education, research, and science.
Apereo’s mission extends beyond software—we are committed to building sustainable, global communities around open source that reflect academic values of transparency, collaboration, and peer review. Through our work with learners, professors, researchers, and institutional leaders worldwide, we’ve seen the transformative power of open source to support academic freedom, foster innovation, and drive long-term impact.
We are proud to have several Apereo leaders and staff attending UN OSS Week to represent this vision and engage in dialogue with global partners:
