Call for Participants: Sustaining Open Source Software in the Research Enterprise
📍 New York City | 🗓 Workshop: August 8, 2025

Apereo and Ithaka S+R invite U.S.-based OSS contributors to apply for a funded, one-day workshop focused on building sustainable practices for open source software in higher ed research. Backed by the NSF, Sloan Foundation, and Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, this gathering will explore financial models, governance, infrastructure, and community-building strategies to improve the resilience of OSS in the research enterprise.
Successful applicants will join OSS leaders from academia, the private sector, and open source foundations to chart a path toward sustainable and scalable adoption of open technologies.
